Two formats, two existing tours
We publish two walking tours, each available as a shared walk or a private walk. Saigon City Highlights is the daytime landmarks walk. The Saigon Street Food Walking Tour is the evening tasting walk. A private booking is not a third route and it is not a new neighbourhood.
Choose shared when you are comfortable with a small group and a voluntary tip. Choose private when you want a fixed starting price and do not want to wait for four guests.
What the shared walk includes
There is no fixed ticket price on the shared format. Tips are voluntary. Many guests use €13–15 per person as a guideline, paid to the guide, not collected on this website. A shared departure normally needs 4 guests and is confirmed in writing, usually about one day before.
City Highlights runs about 2.5 hours at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM and does not include tastings. The street-food walk runs about 2 hours 30 minutes at 5:30 PM, with five tastings on the shared format. Both meet at Starbucks Waterbus, Bach Dang Wharf, 10B Ton Duc Thang.
What private changes
Private City Highlights starts from €25 per person with a minimum of 2 guests, subject to the guide and the date. The route is still the landmarks walk. Hotel pickup is not included on the shared walk. A private tour may arrange a nearby pickup when it is practical.
A private street-food evening starts from €23 per person, minimum 2, with an English-speaking private guide, about 3–4 main items, dessert, and one drink. That set is not the five-tasting shared walk. Read what the private food walk includes before you treat them as the same evening.
How to decide
If your group is already two or more and you want a written price, ask for private on the tour page that matches the day. If you are happy to join other travellers and to tip, use the shared format and read what happens below four guests.
Two guests meet the private minimum and still count as only two toward a shared departure of four. Three guests can ask for private as well. Three guests do not, by themselves, open a shared departure unless someone else is already on that departure. The written reply is what tells you which format exists that day.
English is standard on shared walks. French, German, or Spanish can be requested and are confirmed in writing only when a guide is available. Sending the form is not confirmation.
Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
