What you are joining
This article is the preparation for the Saigon Street Food Walking Tour. The booking stays on that page. The walk is tip-based on the shared format, with five food and drink tastings. Stops and vendors can change. This page does not name stalls.
A private evening is a different inclusion: about 3–4 main items, dessert, and one drink, from €23 per person, minimum two, with an English-speaking private guide. Read that distinction if someone quoted you “five dishes” for a private booking.
Time and place
Departure is 5:30 PM. Allow the full 2 hours 30 minutes. The meeting point is Starbucks Waterbus at Bach Dang Wharf, 10B Ton Duc Thang. Arrive about 10 minutes early once you have the pin from your confirmation.
The walk ends in the Ben Thanh Market area. The exact last stop can vary. Ben Thanh is not where you start.
How to behave between stalls
You are in working streets. Keep bags close, ask before a close photograph, and do not block the person cooking. The manners are in street food etiquette. They apply even when a guide is ordering.
Vegetarian can be requested. Vegan, halal, gluten-free, and allergies are case by case. Say them when you enquire. They are not a guarantee of zero cross-contamination.
Money and weather
The shared walk has no fixed ticket price. Many guests use €13–15 per person as a tip guideline for the guide. We do not publish who pays each vendor or a cash budget for extras.
Light rain normally means the walk continues. Heavy rain near 5:30 PM is decided case by case. Send a message rather than assuming the evening is off.
Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
