Pick the job, then the page
If you want to choose every dish and every hour, use street food etiquette and eat on your own. If you want a guide, a start time, and five tastings on a shared tip-based walk, enquire on the Saigon Street Food Walking Tour.
Neither choice is a review of a stall. We do not publish a hygiene protocol or a named vendor list.
What you give up and keep
On your own, you keep the whole evening and you pay each stall yourself. You also handle language, seating, and whether a dish fits an allergy. The etiquette page is the practical help for that.
On the shared walk, the guide handles the rhythm of the route. You still need to say dietary needs in advance. The five tastings are the shared inclusion. Extra drinks are not included.
Do not mix the meeting points
The guided walk meets at Starbucks Waterbus, Bach Dang Wharf, not at Ben Thanh. It finishes in the Ben Thanh area, with the exact last stop able to change. Read Ben Thanh as neighbourhood context, not as the start pin.
Daytime landmarks without food are Saigon City Highlights. Do not book that page if the point of the outing is dinner.
A private evening is a third choice
Private street food, from €23 per person with a minimum of two, is still guided. The food set is about 3–4 mains, dessert, and one drink. It is not “eating on your own” and it is not the five shared tastings.
Ask for it on the street-food tour page. This article does not confirm availability.
Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
