What the shared rule actually covers
The published rule is narrow, and that is useful. If you booked Saigon City Highlights or the Saigon Street Food Walking Tour as a shared tip-based walk, directly with us, and then your plans change, tell us as early as you can. There is no monetary cancellation charge on that direct shared booking.
This page does not publish a clock-time cutoff. “As early as you can” is the instruction. Another operator’s cut-off time does not automatically apply to a direct booking with us.
An enquiry is not yet a departure
Sending the form, or a WhatsApp message, is not confirmation. If you have not received the written departure message, you are asking us to drop an enquiry, not cancelling a walk that has already been set. Read what the confirmation includes so you know which message you are answering.
You do not cancel the group for everyone
Your message changes your own party. It does not close the departure for other guests, and it does not create a private walk by itself. If the shared departure then sits below four guests, the separate rule applies: we wait for more bookings or offer private when a guide and the date allow it. That outcome is in the reply, not in this article.
Private bookings are a different record
Private City Highlights starts from €25 per person, and a private street-food evening from €23 per person, each with a minimum of two guests. Those are quoted walks. This page does not publish a private cancellation fee, a private deadline, or a promise that the shared rule transfers.
If you asked for private, wait for the written reply on that date and follow what it says. Do not treat the shared tip guideline of €13–15 as a cancellation credit. The website does not collect the tip.
If we cannot run the departure
When the operator cancels, the published commitment is to reschedule or offer an alternative where that is possible. It is not a promise of a particular guide, a particular finish, or a walk in another city.
Below four guests, a shared departure is not confirmed just because you hoped it would be. Same-day changes need an explicit written confirmation. The last-minute note is about joining, not about assuming a walk is on.
Rain is not the same decision
Light rain normally means the walk continues, with rain protection. Heavy rain or severe weather near departure is decided case by case by the guide and the operator. Contact us for that date rather than cancelling on behalf of the whole group.
Clothing and street conditions are in the rainy-season guide. That guide does not replace this cancellation rule, and this page does not replace the forecast on the day.
Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
