Personal Introduction
My name is Darius, and I'm a local guide based in Saigon with a strong interest in the city's history, culture, and hospitality. On walks I help travellers notice the layers of story behind Saigon's streets and quieter neighbourhoods — how colonial landmarks sit beside busy local life, and how the city continues to change. Around Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office, I share that mix of architecture and daily rhythm; on the Saigon City Highlights walk, I also talk about Saigon's transformation over the decades and the pagodas, temples, and small rituals that still shape life here today.
Saigon · In Their Words
- Favourite Saigon Food
- My favourite Saigon food is Bánh Xèo — a crispy, golden Vietnamese pancake filled with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts, wrapped in fresh herbs and lettuce. It captures the bright, herbaceous flavours of Southern Vietnamese cuisine.
- Favourite Place in Saigon
- My favourite place is the area around the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Central Post Office. The blend of French colonial architecture and busy local life makes it a unique window into the city's character.
- Favourite Local Experience
- I love sharing stories about Saigon's transformation over the decades and introducing travellers to the spiritual side of Vietnamese culture in the city — local pagodas, temples, and the small daily rituals that still shape life in Saigon today.
