Planning a Day Around a Saigon Walking Tour

Use 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM for landmarks and 5:30 PM for street food. Leave the rest of the day free of unverified opening hours, and do not stack both walks without a gap.

Planning · the rest of the day

Planning article — not a booking page. To enquire about dates and availability, use the canonical tour page below.

Quick answer

The published shared times are 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM for City Highlights and 5:30 PM for the street-food walk.

Do not plan museum tickets or shop hours from this page. We do not publish those clocks.

Enquire on Saigon City Highlights or Saigon Street Food Walking Tour.

Start from the departure, not from a wishlist

Pick the walk first. Saigon City Highlights takes about 2.5 hours from 9:00 AM or from 2:00 PM. The Saigon Street Food Walking Tour takes about 2 hours 30 minutes from 5:30 PM.

A 9:00 AM landmarks walk and a 5:30 PM food walk can sit on the same date only if you want both and both are confirmed. They are two enquiries — see booking both walks for how the second confirmation works. One confirmation does not cover the other. The 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM landmark departures are separate in the same way. A morning confirmation does not hold the afternoon.

Leave a margin

Arrive about 10 minutes early at Starbucks Waterbus, Bach Dang Wharf. After City Highlights, the finish is a group choice, often toward Ben Thanh or sometimes toward the War Remnants area. Do not book a timed ticket that assumes you are free at a fixed minute.

The food walk ends in the Ben Thanh area, not at a single published door. Keep the evening after 8:00 PM loose.

What not to schedule against the walk

We do not publish opening hours for the cathedral, the palace interior, or the market. The landmarks walk focuses on exteriors, but the Saigon Central Post Office may be open for a quick look when your group passes — that is not the same as every interior (palace, cathedral nave, museum galleries) being included in the base walk.

Do not put a suitcase transfer in the middle of the route. Read luggage and pickup.

If you are walking without us

The self-guided District 1 route is for independent walking. It is not the guided meeting point and not the five tastings.

Heat, rain, and your own pace still decide the rest of the day. The best-time article is about comfort. This page is about not double-booking the confirmed hours.

Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
