Vegetarian Requests on the Saigon Street Food Walk

Vegetarian adjustments can be requested on the street-food walk. Vegan is a separate case-by-case question. Neither is a fixed menu published here.

Quick answer

Ask for vegetarian when you enquire for the street-food walk. It can be adjusted. It is not a printed vegetarian menu on this page.

Vegan is case by case. Do not assume vegetarian covers fish sauce, eggs, or a separate kitchen.

Enquire on Saigon Street Food Walking Tour or Saigon City Highlights.

Say vegetarian in the enquiry

The Saigon Street Food Walking Tour can take a vegetarian request. Put it in the message before the date is confirmed, with the number of people who need it.

The daytime Saigon City Highlights walk does not include tastings, so a vegetarian request belongs on the food walk, not the landmarks walk.

What we will not promise

We do not publish a dish list, a stall list, or a guarantee that every course is free of animal products. Shared tastings are five items. The private set is about 3–4 mains, dessert, and one drink. Those counts are not five vegetarian signatures.

Vegan, halal, and gluten-free are separate requests. Read allergies and other diets if the issue is medical rather than a preference for meat-free food.

Eating on your own

If you need full control of the kitchen, a guided walk may be the wrong tool. Street food etiquette explains how to ask at a stall yourself. A small stall may not be able to confirm every ingredient.

“No meat” in English is a start. It does not define broth, sauce, or a shared pan. If the answer is unclear, choose another dish.

Timing

Prefer to tell us a day ahead rather than at the meeting point. The 5:30 PM departure is already moving. A late note may be too late to change what was planned.

This page cannot confirm your date.

Facts on this page come from the published Saigon walking-tour policies. Where a detail is still open — vendor payment, stall names, stairs, toilets — it is left unstated.
